Choosing the right image for your pop art

This really is the most important part of the whole process. If you can send us a great photo we will create a great piece of art for you. Below are some pointers on how to find the right photo.

1) Large, detailed photos work best. Digital photos are made up of things called pixels. Basically these are little dots of colour and the more your image has the more detail we can see. The subject of the photo should be as large as possible within the photo.

2) In focus - even a slightly fuzzy image can make it impossible for us to make a pop art design. Blurring loses detail and detail is king!

3) Even lighting - a well, evenly lit photo works best. Very strong shadows on the face again make it impossible for us to pick out detail

1) The basic rules are the same as for the warhol style above but we can be a little more flexible with smaller/less detailed photo and images with stronger shadows.

1) The mouth of the subject must be closed! This style just doesn't work well with open mouths or very smiley mouths.

2) The other basic rules are the same as for the warhol style.

3) The head most be facing forward.
